Dr. Eric K H Fok

Dr. Fok is a senior accountant with experience in North America & HK with large corporations and SMEs. He had served with Imasco Inc., (Canada's 4th largest with USD 10 billion sales) in 1980s, Chief Financial Officer in Unisource Inc. North America's largest paper & packaging supplier with sales at USD7 billion as a Financial Controller. He was the Chief Financial Officer in a company in George Weston Ltd., Canada's largest food maker with current sales at USD21 billion. Dr. Fok was the Chairman of the Board of the manufacturing division of HK listed Giordano Group when it listed in 1990. Since then he specialized in advising HK SMEs bringing the financial management expertise from these large corporations to the SMEs to enhance their competitiveness.

He qualified with KPMG Peat Marwick, HK's premier accounting firm back in early 1970s. He is a Fellow of Chartered Certified Accountants, Fellow of the HK Institute of Certified Public Accountants, A Chartered Secretary, and a Certified Management Accountant of Ontario, Canada, and a member of the Taxation Institute of HK. He holds a Bachelor degree with the Pontifical University Urbaniana of Rome, Italy an MBA with the Manchester Business School of University of Manchester UK and a doctorate with The University of Newcastle, Australia.

Dr. Fok is very active in the profession. Throughout the 1980s, He served The Toronto Chapter of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators in Canada and the Education Committee of The Society of Management Accountants of Canada. Back in Hong Kong in the 1990s, since 2005 he currently serves in the HK Institute of Certified Public Accountants in the Professional Accountants in Business and the Ethics Committees. He served the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Branch of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants since 2002-2005. He was the Co-Chairman of the SME Sub-Committee and was instrumental in organized Hong Kong’s First and Second “Accounting Excellence Award” with the HK Government.

Dr. Fok specializes in quantitative financial and strategy management. For the last fifteen years, he had advised large corporations in the financing of large infrastructure projects and numerous SMEs in making critical financial decisions in expansion, re-organization, consolidation, and restructuring.
